About Us
Huskisson Public School has an active and enthusiastic Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). We meet in the school library on the second Monday evening (6pm) of every month and work with the school staff and students to promote public education and the values of our school.
The P&C runs the school canteen and uniform shop as well as organising other fundraising activities throughout the year. The funds raised by the P&C are used to enhance the school's facilities with our aim always being to provide safe, quality and enjoyable facilities and extra-curricular activities for our kids, such as our on-going sponsorship of the school's leadership program and the establishing of Ethics classes, as an additional option for our kids.
Not all activities organised by the P&C are aimed at raising funds. We coordinate activities and services for the kids, such as end of term BBQs, school discos, art competitions and other fun activities. The funds from these events go straight back to the kids, such as with the recent purchase of a giant chess set, gardening equipment and enhancing areas of the school which are beyond the scope of the school budget.
Our P&C also supports the school in building positive relationships within the local community by encouraging community participation in areas such as the arts and cultural awareness and interaction. We are also pleased to support the number of environmental programs that that the school runs as well.
